Job Description
We are looking for a licensed nurse (RN/LPN) to show off their leadership skills while providing great care to our residents. As the Director of Health and Wellness they would be responsible for overall operation of the Health and Wellness (H&W) department. This includes leadership, training, and oversight of 30 H&W staff in providing care services to 130+ independent and assisted living residents.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Oversight and responsibility for daily operations of our Health and Wellness department
•Hiring, training, and development of H&W staff
•Work directly with residents to evaluate needs and services to accurately assess, communicate and document resident status on electronic care system
•Oversight of med techs and delegation of nurse duties to unlicensed personnel
•Other leadership duties as needed
Qualifications
•Current RN or LPN license
•Skills in promoting teamwork, leadership, team member empowerment, and responsiveness to residents
•Experience in Assisted Living, Geriatric Nursing or Gerontology and/or Dementia Care
•Demonstrated ability in budgeting and cost control
•Knowledge of how to develop and utilize service plans, medication management systems, infection control practices and safety procedures
•Love for seniors!
