Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCaBA) – Blue Iris Behavioral Services – Melbourne, FL

We are seeking a Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCaBA) to join our team! You will be responsible for implementing and evaluating behavioral programs for children with autism and other developmental disabilities by applying a family-centered approach and principles of applied behavioral analysis at the direction of the BCBA.

BCaBA Responsibilities

  • Assists with initial and ongoing skills and functional assessments.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans, behavior support plans, weekly progress notes on client’s covered in supervision and keep track of progress on goals and objectives.
  • Provide home-based and school-based support.
  • Provides supervision and training to RBTs in accordance with BACB requirements and under the direction of the BCBA.
  • Collects and graphs data regularly, and maintains updated and accurate program data, information, and results.
  • Provides guidance and support to parents to create a learning environment that promotes child development.
  • Coordinates schedules with families and BCBA

BCBA Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with concentration in early childhood education/development, special education, psychology, social work or a related field (Required)
  • Have at least 1 year experience working with children with autism and other related disorders
  • Must have and current BCaBA certification
  • Brevard Public Schools Contractor Badge (Preferred)
  • Obtain and maintain current professional liability insurance (Biennial)
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Maintain CPR certification (every 2 years)
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance training (annual)
  • Have a current and valid CPR certification

BCBA Requirements

  • Have a reliable means of transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and family members
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong documentation skill
  • Be sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintains advanced working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis practices and standards.

Who we are:

At Blue Iris Behavioral Services, our ABA team includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Licensed Lead Analysts, and Registered Behavior Technicians who work together to develop the best individualized and personalized treatment for our clients.

We provide interactive ABA therapy at home and in educational centers, all throughout Brevard County. Essentially, we take ABA Therapy wherever it is needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $48.00 – $50.00 per hour
