Dental Front Desk Receptionist – LUX DENTAL STUDIO – Houston, TX

Lux Dental Studio is looking for an enthusiastic receptionist to manage our front desk daily and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Previous Experience in a dental environment is a MUST. Our practice is a private practice (NO DSO), female and minority owned dental office. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish as we see a large population of Spanish-speaker patients. The office does not see patients Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Those days the main duties will be answering calls, scheduling, and catching up with insurance verification. We are in North East Houston in the Suburbs of Atascocita, Summerwood area. We are looking for a committed, flexible team member that can be reliable and willing to grow as the practice grows. Main duties include:

  • Check In/Out patients
  • Registration, Eligibility and Scheduling process.
  • Answering telephones and gathering third party payment information, recording charges, and collecting payments.
  • Work on pending claims. Call insurance companies and send requested items.
  • Receive and distribute correspondence in an efficient manner.
  • Experience in presenting treatment plans
  • Outgoing with a positive disposition

You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business in a pleasant manner. It is important that you can handle stressful situations in an effective and timely manner. Multitasking and flexibility around the practice are required. The goal of a Receptionist is to ensure to welcome guests with a positive attitude and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office

  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable.
  • Adhere to OSHA, HIPPAA, and COVID-19 protocol enforced by the practice
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges, alarms)
  • Keep inventory of office supplies
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

Skills Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, Billing coordinator or similar role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite*

  • Experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be fluent in Spanish
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • High school degree
  • MUST BE PROFICIENT IN Open Dental Software

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
