The Charles River Center provides innovative opportunities, services, and supports for over 950 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury and mental health challenges, in the MetroWest and Southeast regions of Massachusetts.

The Clinical Director of Health Services is responsible for the oversight of health care services provided throughout the agency in residential, day and family support programs. The Director develops health related policies and procedures, monitors health care services and provides supervision to assigned nursing managerial staff.

Primary Job Duties:

Develop/interpret policies and procedures and ensure consistent application and implementation of all medical/nursing policies. Ensure that policies and procedures comply with best practices and/or state and federal requirements.

Oversee the agency’s auditing system of health care record-keeping practices and develop and implement tools to document such audits.

Provide supervision to assigned nurse managers and health care supervisors in accordance with CRC’s Supervision Policy.

Provide nursing consultation to nursing staff, program management, supervisory staff, individuals and families and act as a resource for them in accessing information.

Provide health care case management and coordination for individuals whose heath care Provide on-site assessment or treatment of individuals, as needed. issues are complex or acute.

Provide CRC staff with Medication Administration Certification training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.

Minimum of five years of experience as a registered nurse in a community setting.

Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.

Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.

Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable members with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Driver’s License that is valid in Massachusetts and reliable personal transportation.

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft applications.
