Exciting Prosthetics and Orthotics facility is seeking to add Part Time CPO to our team. Interested candidates must possess current certification by the American Board for Certification (ABC) in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Minnesota.

Full Job Description

Perform comprehensive assessments of patients to obtain an understand of the patients’ prosthetic/orthotic needs and goals to design the most appropriate prosthetic/orthotic devices.

Create a comprehensive prosthetic/orthotic treatment plan to meet the needs and goals of the patient in collaboration with the ordering physician(s).

Perform all the necessary procedures to create, fit, manufacture, test, and deliver the appropriate prosthetic/orthotic.

Select materials, make cast measurements, model modifications, and layouts, considering new techniques and materials.

Instruct patient in use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.

Provide continuing patient care and periodic evaluation to assure/maintain/document optimal fit and function of the prosthesis/orthosis

Repair and/or modifying prosthetics and/or orthotics based upon patient needs.

Prepare extremely comprehensive clinical notes and documentation in a prompt and organized manner.

Compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.

Mentor new residents or newly certified clinicians if necessary.

Participate in personal and professional development through continuing education, training, and research.

Experience:

• Certified Prosthetist: (Required)
• Certified Orthotist: (Required)
• Possess advance knowledge of prosthetic technology such as microprocessor knees and myoelectric devices (Required)

License/Certification:

• ABC Prosthetist Orthotist Certification (Required)
• Must be licensed CPO or be eligible to be licensed in MN.
