Through our exceptional psychotherapy and counseling services our mission is to provide unique excellence in two things: Mental Health Treatment and Personal Development. We provide a holistic and client centered approach that is tailor made to fit each client’s history, needs, and concerns. We aim to provide the highest quality service possible to working professionals, couples, teens, and children in Long Beach, Cerritos, Brea, and Online throughout all of California.
About Us
Daybreak Counseling Center is an elite team of licensed therapists . We looking for a full-time licensed psychotherapist to join our practice at our Long Beach location. Our full time therapist position entails seeing a minimum of 20 clients per week. We are a hybrid group practice offering in-person services at our office locations in Brea, Cerritos, & Long Beach and we also provide tele-therapy throughout California. The 20 client caseload would be divided over 4-5 days with 2 days of in person services and two days of telehealth services. Candidates must be communicative, driven, creative, collaborative, and enhance our fun, independent, positive minded, and connected group of highly skills clinicians. We are an eclectic, open-minded, holistic, humanistic, and psychodynamic based counseling center. We are looking for licensed therapists that are eager to learn and grow with us.
We are a diverse group of clinicians and strongly encourage people of color, minorities, and LGBTQ+ candidates to apply. Having completed a significant amount of time in your own therapy or personal growth work is also a huge plus. The ideal candidate would know how to work independently and have a deep passion for providing excellent client care. We are also looking for someone who already has education, training, or a background in psychodynamic therapy, psychoanalysis, Jungian psychotherapy, existential, humanistic therapy, person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, IFS, Gestalt therapy, EFT, Gottman, Mindfulness, DBT, or attachment theory.
The ideal candidate would be someone who would be willing to provide in person services at least 2 days/per week and at least 2 days/per week of tele-health services between Monday-Friday. The hours are flexible we just ask that the full time candidate be willing to see a minimum of 20 clients and operates on a scheduled 22-24 clients per week to account for cancellations . Pay: 60-105$ per session = 75k-105k per year. This is based on a 60/40 split where 60% of fees collected are paid to the therapist and 40 percent of fees collected to go the company. The pay per session ranges from what is collected from insurance to what is collected from private pay clients. Clinicians at our center typically average about 60% percent of their clients being from insurance and 40% of their clients are private pay. One of the key benefits of working at our center is that you have a lot of control over the amount you earn. Some therapists work 5 days a week with a 25-35 client per week case load and year between 85-105k per year whereas others choose to work 4 days a week with a 22-25 client per week case load and earn 75-85k per year. How much earn depends on what you want your work/life balance to look like. We value self-care and realize a healthy work/life balance is different for everyone.
