Family Therapist – Cunningham Children’s Home – Urbana, IL

Cunningham Children’s Home, an agency committed to providing a safe place for young people to learn, heal and grow, is adding a new program to help youth in foster care experience stability in their homes. We are seeking a full-time IPS Family Therapist to work as a team in providing therapeutic services to seriously emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth and their families.

The IPS Family Therapist works as the team lead in conjunction with the Family Support Specialist to provide intensive therapeutic services to promote placement stability for youth at risk of placement disruption. The Family Therapist provides the assessment and treatment plan that drives intensive placement stabilization services. Successful candidates will have a Master’s Degree in human services, preferably social work, or clinical or counseling psychology. Previous clinical experience in child welfare, children’s mental health, and families preferred. Self discipline, highly developed understanding of confidentiality, desire, and ability to work cooperatively with a treatment team is required.

Must have use of a motor vehicle capable of being used on the job and be willing to provide services throughout Champaign, Ford, Iroquois, and Vermilion Counties. Most services will be provided in the families’ homes and community.
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling required. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends to meet the scheduling needs of the families that we work with.

Pay: $44,500.00 – $74,000.00 per year
