The lead is responsible for the oversight of activities of the Sterile Processing Technician and Trainee; coordinating the training for trainees and training all staff on new equipment and processes; providing input regarding performance evaluation for SPD staff; preparing the staffing schedule; vendor relations; and acts as the liaison for all SPD customers
Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent.
- Three (3) years current Sterile Processing experience.

More than one (1) year recent lead or supervisory experience.

Sterile Processing Technician Certification.

Knowledge of aseptic techniques and O.R. instrumentation.

One (1) year computer experience.

Ability to work independently and manage own time and schedule own tasks. Must have initiative to work efficiently without constant supervision and directions.

Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the duties of the position.

Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations.
