We are located on Shadeland Avenue on the northeast side of Indianapolis near the Avalon Hills neighborhoods and are treating fourth generation patients. Our practice is built on over 60 years of experience providing exceptional dental care. We specialize in family and cosmetic dentistry while continuing to stay current with technological advances. Seeking an organized and reliable person to become a new member of our team. We are an established and well-respected second-generation family-owned practice. Some of our patients are 4th generation with us and many have been with us for decades. Establishing relationships with our patients is a very important part of our culture. The position requires high professional standards and the excellent communication skills needed to interact with our doctors and patients.
Our Hygienists build trust with our patients and provide input to our dentists for treatment evaluation. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies.
Responsibilities & Skills
- Valid RDH license
- Ensure patients feel comfortable
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene
- Document treatment findings and notes in Curve software (will train)
- Take X-rays
- Sterilize dental instruments
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA health and safety regulations
