Valley Medical Group is seeking a reliable and personable Medical Assistant to work in our Easthampton Health Center!
Position: Medical Assistant
Location: Easthampton, MA
Hours: 32 Hours a week, 8 hour shifts. Hours range from 7:30am to 6:00p. Exact schedule to be determined at time of interview. Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday or Sunday as part of the Urgent Care rotation.
Responsibilities: The candidate will work under the supervision of the Nurse Team Leader, and function as a member of the health care team in the delivery of high quality service. You will assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for the office visit by obtaining accurate vital signs, taking a history, performing medication reconciliation, reviewing allergies and a whole lot more.
Qualifications:
- Completed a Medical Assistant program OR
- Experience as a Medical Assistant in a practice setting
- Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT
- Certification preferred
- EMR experience
- Knowledge and skills necessary to work in ambulatory healthcare setting; provides hands-on experience performing both clinical procedures and administrative procedures in a medical office
