This OneSource Project Manager role supports the Instrument Services practice that is focused on new program implementations.
This role focuses on execution of a well-defined work breakdown structure, including oversight of executing the physical instrument tagging processes in the clients laboratory and subsequent data management, managing and communicating global standard operating procedures and processes associated with successfully implementing these new services. This role works closely with field based, on-site and on-hand staff, OS Support Center staff, OS Contracts staff, marketing, quality, procurement and purchasing and field service leaders around all aspects of implementing these services.
The OneSource Project Manager must demonstrate an intense attention to detail, ability to work with diverse stakeholders, manage multiple, high priority workstreams, and possess broad Office skills. They must be an action-oriented, self-starter who is comfortable working independently. This role requires a demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple things with constantly changing priorities and deadlines. You must be organized, detailed-oriented, have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and feel comfortable as part of a remote team. The position reports into Instrument Services PMO leader and is part of the OS Global Program Management Office (PMO).
All PMO resources are focused on applying best practices in a fast paced, cross-functional environment to support our field service staff and external end user customers.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to develop project plans and lead all aspects associated with implementing new asset management programs including the onsite, physical instrument tagging at the customer site and the subsequent data management to move the customer information into the PE database and managing resources, schedule and budget.
- As part of standard project implementations, run internal and customer facing RAIL (Rolling Action Item List) calls.
- Supporting PMO Continuous Improvement projects, as appropriate.
- Participate in standard internal reporting forums, escalating OS program issues, project updates, accomplishments, risks, future actions.
- High expectation to participate in sharing of lessons learned and best practices for all PMO activities.
- Travel as required, likely 10% – 15%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- PRINCE2, PMP Certification or demonstrable experience
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent team skills; an upbeat, collegial, can-do attitude
- Demonstrated high level work ethic
- Advance knowledge in the MS Office suite of applications, especially Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint
- Other Database and application skills, especially Smartsheet, SAP, SQL, and any business process mapping applications
