INFECTION PREVENTION NURSE (Days)

Work collaboratively with infection and prevention and control staff under leadership, to accomplish the goals and objective of the Infection
Prevention program.

Evaluation of infection control trends, practices, and provide educational programs for employees. Possess a basic understanding and
working knowledge of microbiology and epidemiology. Responsibilities include surveillance of health care associated infections and
reportable illness, evaluation and reporting of statistical information, consultation of asepsis, disinfection, sterilization, isolation, disease
transmission and related issues. Monitors compliance standards and regulations, strategies, and evidence-based aspects. Evaluates and
improves performance of patient/resident outcomes. Assists with research needs and special projects are assigned. Understand or be willing
to learn computer programs and applications necessary for data collection and analysis. Possess good interpersonal skills as well as
willingness to seek out new information and knowledge. Able to think critically and problem solve effectively.

Experience:

  • Registered Nurse: 2 years (Required)
  • Infection Prevention: 1 year (Required)

License:

  • BLS (Required)
  • Certification in Infection Control (Required)
  • RN license in ID (Required)
