Central Intake Assistant – Providence Care – Rock Hill, SC

Providence Care is South Carolina’s premier provider of home based medical care.

The Central Intake Assistant receives new patient referrals and through a series of questions uses this data to determine the best next course of action for the patient. The Central Intake Coordinator position requires an individual who can pay very close attention to details and get required information from clients and/or referral sources. They often work closely with both clinical and business development teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processes paperwork for new patients efficiently and in accordance with protocols
  • Obtains pertinent information from patients
  • Answers and screens inquiry calls and emails from prospective patients
  • Collects data to help with the admission process
  • Ensures that all admission forms are properly signed and filed
  • Communicates with other team members constructively in order to reduce conflict and enhance the resolution of issues
  • Respects clients or patient’s dignity and confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in data management or a similar field preferred
  • Minimum of one-year related experience, three plus years preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and other relevant software
  • Experience with ALLSCRIPTS, NAVIHEALTH and other referral sources preferred
  • Experience with insurance verification and EMR a plus

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
