C.N.A. Inpatient Unit (Hospice House)
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 – 12 hour shifts)
Treasure Coast Hospice has been providing compassionate end-of-life care to patients and families in our community since 1982.
Are you a certified nursing assistant who works well with others, and has a compassionate and positive attitude and demeanor? Would you enjoy working overnights performing patient care?
We are seeking a pleasant C.N.A. to work in our Inpatient Unit (Hospice House).
Under the direct supervision of the RN, and following the plan of care to provide comprehensive care to patients and families including but not limited to:
- Perform household services to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Light cleaning and laundering essentials to the comfort and cleanliness of the patient.
- Perform bed bath, sponge, tub, and/or shower bath.
- Perform hair shampoo, nail and skin care, oral hygiene for each patient.
- Ensure safe transfer techniques and ambulation.
- Assist patients with normal range of motion and positioning
- Ensure adequate nutrition and fluid intake.
- Must maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
- Must maintain current auto insurance.
- Must demonstrate clinical competency upon hire and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to patients, caregivers, and other Hospice staff.
- Knowledge of EMR systems.
- Attendance is a condition of employment.
Qualifications
- Current and active C.N.,A. certification in the state of Florida
- One(1) year of experience in hospice care, patient care, either in an acute care setting, long-term care or home health agency.
