FRONT OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedules patient appointments using the EMR and practice management templates and helps to direct the patient flow in light of these appointments
- Performs day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to uploading, copying, faxing, and answering phones
- Checking in and Checking out patients–must verify any changes in address, insurance or phone numbers
- Assists in answering phones on a daily basis
- Welcomes/greets patients and visitors to the office in a helpful and friendly manner, determines the purpose of the visit, and directs them to the appropriate department
- Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements
- Maintains patient waiting areas, bathrooms and front-desk areas in a neat and organized manner
- Informs, verifies insurance and collects any existing patient balances
- Informs, verifies and collects payments for the days services
- Attends all scheduled office meetings
- Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers any complaints to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Performs other duties as needed
- Checks insurance eligibility
- Assists with patient paperwork as needed
- Being a teamplayer in a fast-paced environment is paramount
Salary: $13/hour
