Job Title: Claim Support Evaluation Specialist

FLSA: Non-Exempt

This position is TEMPORARILY remote due to COVID-19. Once the executive decision is made to return to our office space, you will be required to report to the physical location. We are also mandating remote employees have a minimum internet speed of 10 Download/5 Upload to be eligible for hire.

We assist by helping these Veterans with the critical documentation and medical records-gathering process. Our mission is to provide 5-star operational, administrative and technical support to OUR veterans through accurate, timely and caring services.

Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Uploading eBenefits screenshots from VIAA Forms assigned.
  • Rename documents using the naming conventions.
  • Utilizing software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriately.
  • Review documents to ensure they are correct and legible.
  • Review and calculate points for the Rating Breakdown Letter if it’s necessary.
  • Label documents with header if needed.
  • Follow up to obtain corrected credentials.
  • Follow up with Bad VIAA’s received.
  • Complete the correction forms.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of company products, services, and policies.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF; especially with CRM software.
  • Strong time management and decision-making skills.
  • Adaptability and accountability.
  • Proficiency in the English language is a MUST. Speaking and writing skills must be above average.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • More education or experience may be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $8.00 per hour
