Rennes provides care to residents and patients who are with us for short-term rehabilitation, outpatient services, assisted living and long-term care. As a Speech Language Pathologist you work under the direction of the Director of Rehab and are responsible for evaluating, writing a ST plan of care, carrying out treatment, and collaborating with other therapy professionals to ensure resident and patient needs are met.

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist who:

  • Assesses, plans, organizes, and implements a speech therapy treatment plan
  • Implements evidence and functional based practice
  • Develops a safe and effective discharge plan for the patient
  • Develops a rapport with patients and family members to ensure a successful outcome
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities, cooperation and teamwork
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and interest in leadership concepts in general and specifically in the speech & language processes, quality assurance, goal setting and holistic approach to people
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate with other professionals
  • Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relations
  • Demonstrates ability to treat resident and patient information as confidential

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess, as a minimum, a master’s degree in speech language pathology from an accredited college or university along with an active Wisconsin State license. Must possess the understanding and ability to comply with Federal and State rules and regulations as it applies to Nursing Homes as well as regulations of the Wisconsin State Practice Act.

Previous experience in this field is not required.
