Savannah Container Box Plant is currently seeking motivated candidates for the entry level General Helper role at the rate of $16.85 for the first 120 days. After successful completion of 120-day period, hourly rate is based on job performed starting at $18.04.

Qualified candidates are required to produce quality packaging in a safe and efficient manner while promoting and maintaining a safe, clean and healthy work environment.

Additional qualifications and duties include but are not limited to:

• Working closely with the machine operator to set up converting/corrugated manufacture machine

• Having basic computer skills to receive and enter computer data
• Having the ability to read a tape measure and utilize basic math skill
• Having good communication skills to effectively troubleshoot and solve problems with other team members
• Actively participating in a team environment or working with minimal direct supervision
• Working with motivation and urgency to hit production goals
• Complying with policies, work procedures and instruction manuals
• Working weekly rotating shifts up to 12 hours per day, including holidays, weekends, and overtime
• Continuously standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., working in various temperatures, and frequently twisting and bending
• The ability to operate or train to operate a forklift
• The flexibility and willingness to transition to the Converting, Corrugator or Shipping department

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
• 1-2 years in manufacturing
• High school diploma or GED
