Registered Dental Hygienist (hercules, pinole, san pablo, el sob)

Park Lake Dental is looking to hire a registered dental hygienist with a minimum of 2 years of dental hygiene experience, preferred but not required. Candidate must be friendly, hard working, team- player, pay attention to detail and perform with quality and efficiency. Candidate must also enjoy educating patients.
Days include: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Other general duties include:

Welcome and seat patient cheerfully.
Prepare and properly set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures.
Review and update patient’s health history; chart progress, treatments, and home care compliance.
Assess and evaluate patient through exam, patient records, and patient’s medical history to assist in diagnosis of dental hygiene problems, disease, and efficacy of administered treatment plans. Complete scheduled treatments.
Recognize early signs of periodontal disease; chart restorations and notate areas of concern.
Capture digital x-rays and intra-oral photos, and organize for doctor to view. Perform head and neck/oral cancer exam.
Educate and motivate patient on proper oral hygiene and corrective/preventative measures.
