A growing Healthcare organization is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee an accounting department of 8 team members. This role will report directly to the CFO and requires a strategic leader
The ideal candidate has their Master’s or CPA, along with 8 years of experience. We’d love a candidate with at least 3 years in public tax, but is not required. Industry experience in Healthcare is highly desired!
This is an onsite position, but we’re open to a hybrid schedule for a strong candidate.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our team in the Healthcare Industry. We are an organization that seeks to make a difference in the lives of others. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional financial acumen, and a track record of driving financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional controller duties as necessary
Qualifications:
- CPA or Masters in Finance or Accounting highly desired
- 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Strong experience in managing working capital and cash management
- Proven ability to present financials to the board
- Extensive experience in creating annual budgets and comparing them against actual results
- Advanced skills in financial analysis and knowledge of GAAP
- Experience in preparing for an annual audit and managing tax filings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
