Mental Health Technician / Client Coordinator

AMFM Healthcare is looking for Mental Health Technicians to provide superior care for our clients at our Adult Residential Mental Health facilities in southern Orange County, CA. We count on our Mental Health Technicians to compassionately support and mentor our clients throughout their treatment program. We are seeking those who are passionate to help those in need and provide hope. This is a great entry level position to get your foot in the door in the Mental Healthcare field!

Our clients have varying thought and mood disorders, so adequate training will be provided to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care that we can provide. You will join and support a network of trained case managers, therapists, nurses, and psychiatrists who are helping us on our mission to help individuals with mental health disorders achieve a life of meaning and wellness. With the training provided, we offer our Mental Health Technicians/Client Coordinator’s an incentive program that rewards up to three (3) raises in the first year of employment!

Shift schedule needed: Full and part time schedules available.

Swing Shift (any days) (2:30pm-11:00pm)

Weekend AM Part-Time (6:30am-3:00pm)

Ability to work one or two days of the weekend preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all Program Staff and Clients who are in the care of AMFM Healthcare.
  • Conduct orientation to new clients, including reviewing safety drills, exit routes, evacuation procedures, and first-aid kits.
  • Coordinates and transports clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring the clients arrive on time to all scheduled activities, and ensures client safety.
  • Utilizes intervention and communication skills in working with clients.
  • Utilize an electronic health record system (EHR) to document client activities effectively.
  • Monitor and document client self-administration medications while coaching clients in self-management and documenting medications in accordance with the organization’s policy on medication use. Report any deficiencies or 
  • Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness at all times and keeping the area hygienic.
  • Conduct observation rounds, as needed to ensure client safety, and document client behavior and participation in treatment.
  • Responsible for client attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
  • Assist with intakes and discharges of clients according to AMFM Healthcare’s policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, as well as Emergency Management and Environment of Care procedures.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with the Federal Department of Justice (LiveScan) and California Department of Social Services.
  • Ability to get on Company Vehicle Insurance: Current valid Driver’s License with 4+ years of continuous driving history without any major traffic violations, at least 21 years of age.
  • Education Requirements: Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
