Job Details

Financial Reporting and Fund Management

  • Prepare profit and loss statements for the CME unit generated on a regular basis
  • Develop profit and loss statements and other financial reports for CME programs (e.g. events, trainings, business relationships, etc.)
  • Working closely with program leadership, determine a rate and cost structure for services
  • Prepare and revise CME sales and service applications on an ongoing basis and coordinate with Controller’s Team and Business and Financial Solutions for successful fund rate revisions
  • Oversee and manage overhead and markup revenue for CME sales and service funds
  • Ensure compliance with Business Contract policies and procedures
  • Perform deep-dive analyses, detailed variance analysis, and interpret key performance indicators that drive actionable insights and recommendations

usiness Process Improvement

  • Advise operational and administrative managers on best financial practices
  • Establish standard practices and lead implmenetation across sales & service units
  • Develop process to manage budgets and financials for the individual courses that Program Managers oversee
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and lead implementation of said processes
  • Work collaboratively with Education Leadership, Department Financial Leadership, and other leadership on program findings and recommendaitons
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on CME financial operations and sales and service fund

Accounting Processes and Internal Controls

  • Collaborate with financial and administrative staff to ensure appropriate accounting of CME sales and service programs
  • Develop and perform internal controls for the CME sales and service fund on ongoing basis
  • Establish and implement remediative process recommendations for gaps in internal controls
  • Other duties as assigned

Relationship Management / Customer Service

  • Form collaborative relationships with CME personnel and leadership, leveraging positive relationships to improve processes and gain buy-in for new initiatives
  • Provide training to customers on budget preparation
  • Engage and foster a collegial environment both within Dean’s Office Finance and Financial Affairs team broadly
