We are in search of a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of health professionals in providing excellent health care in our facility.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be:
- Assisting the PT in following safety standards established for the physical therapy department.
- Following established departmental policies and procedures, including an appropriate dress code.
- Be alert for resident safety during all therapy.
- Comply with the Facility’s established safety precautions.
- Assist in using safety equipment and supplies when lifting or moving residents.
- Assist in ensuring physical therapy practices and procedures comply with current applicable regulations.
- Following established infection control procedures and standard and universal precautions when performing duties.
- Assist in ensuring the safety and comfort of the resident while going to and from the therapy room or area.
- Assist in ensuring that the therapy area is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform such duties or services.
- Following reporting procedures when observing hazardous conditions or equipment.
- Wearing personal protective clothing when performing services that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.
- Reporting missing and illegible labels or SDSs to your supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey
- COVID-19 vaccination is a must
