Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and energetic occupational therapist to join our private practice located on 67th Avenue and Bird Road.
We are looking for a full-time and/or per-diem occupational therapist.
Therapy is currently provided in person and via telehealth.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations on children and adolescents. Analyze, interpret, and document evaluation results.
- Develop patient care plans with short and long-term goals.
- Maintain all records in compliance with regulations, reimbursement requirements, and job responsibilities.
- Plan and provide individual therapy according to individual needs and goals.
- Perform routine documentation of client performance, adjusting goals and treatment as needed, and determine discharge care plans as appropriate.
- Provide family education and training to assist in carryover of skills into a client’s daily living environment.
- Team with parent and/or other team members in a therapy session, as appropriate.
- Make appropriate referrals for additional services such as psychiatry, psychology, neurology, dentistry, audiology, behavior therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and educational therapy.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal policies, Florida Board of Occupational Therapy and NBCOT.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Florida License as an Occupational Therapist.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
