Dietary Aide
Join our family at R & K Care Services in Tarpon Springs, Florida area for a 120 bed Rehabilitation and Long term Care facility. As a dietary team member, we enjoy giving tasty, eye appealing and nutritional meals to our loved patients and residents. Must be able to work the following shifts; days, nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Work various positions on tray line and in the department
- Prepare desserts, sandwiches, salads and snacks under the supervision of a dietary managers.
- Deliver meal carts and trays at designated times and units
- Work various positions on dish machine, pot sink and take out garbage, sweep and mop floors
- Clean and sanitize food stations and help clean and maintain a sanitary kitchen in accordance of regulatory guidelines
Preferred Requirements
- Preferred experience as a dietary aide
- Preferred knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
- Able to follow instructions and work well with others
- Friendly with good communication and reading skills
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Preferred High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Requires interaction with co-workers, residents/ patients
- Hot & humid environment
- Standing long periods of time
- Using hands and fingers to handle service ware equipment
- Reaching hands and arms
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending
- Talking & Hearing
- Able to lift 25+ lbs
