Summary:
Research Oral Hygienist will serve as the clinical study coordinator, recruiting and consenting cancer patients to participate in research study, conducting oral examinations and biospecimen (saliva and oral swab) sample collection, distributing and collecting research surveys, abstracting medical record data, tracking IRB submission, patient recruitment and consent, and other daily administrative tasks related to the research project.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
License and Certification
1. License to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the State of New York.
2. Certification as a Dental Hygienist by the National Board of Dental Hygiene.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited dental hygienist program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full time dental hygienist experience.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate should have experience in the following:
- Working in a research setting and conducting research studies
- Consenting participants to studies and performing oral examinations
