Under general supervision performs a variety of simple, routine tasks related to the preparation and serving of foods; to clean kitchen area and cooking utensils.
Work performed:
- Sets up trays accurately and neatly.

Cleans work area according to directions and daily cleaning schedule.
*
Operates dish machine, garbage disposal and keeps area clean. Reports any malfunctioning of machine to Director of Food & Nutrition Services.
*
May wash pots and pans using approved sanitizer and proper 2-3 compartment sink procedure.
*
Dishes out fruits, vegetables, salads, desserts, etc. following prescribed portion control as written on the menu.
*
Transports and stores supplies and food.
*
Rotates stock per proper procedure.
*
May make toast and/or coffee.
*
Any other duties that may be assigned by Director of Food & Nutrition Services.
Experience:
Food service experience is desirable, preferably in a health care facility.
