The Community Health Center of Buffalo (CHCB) is searching for an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our mission-driven, well established, state-of-the-art health center.

Pay range: $29.23/hr. – $34.94/hr. depending on years of experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care including prophylaxis, examinations, topical fluoride applications, dental sealants, scaling, root planning and other patient services as permitted under state law
- Develops and exposes radiographs
- Instructs patients in oral hygiene and health
- Cleans and disinfects dental operatory
- Cleans and sterilizes dental instruments
- Assists with inventory of dental supplies
- Performs clerical duties such as answering phone and making appointments
- Works independently, has flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with patients, as well as staff
- Relates to patients of all ages and life situations in a professional manner
- Continues to refine dental hygiene skills through continuing education courses, literature, etc.
- Participates in and contributes to Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities and functions as needed
- Regular attendance is required
- Attends staff meetings as required
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned or requested
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of accredited dental hygiene program. NYS dental hygiene registration certificate. One (1) year experience in general dental practice setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of accredited dental hygiene program. NYS dental hygiene registration certificate. Three (3) years experience in a community health care setting.
