The Senior EEG Technologist ensures that all procedures are performed based on established standards, while demonstrating competency in all areas of testing modalities with a high level of skill and technique.
This includes:
- Explaining testing procedure to patients/family members prior to performance of stud
- Confirming and entering orders into EMR
- Performing diagnostic studies as ordered by physician
- Reviewing EEG tracing and video recordings at the end of each study
- Preparing clips and identifies images and EEG tracings that would be of interest to the reading physician
- Performing Intra-Operative EEG monitoring in the surgical suite during epilepsy surgical cases when required
- Completing all required documentation in a skillful, accurate timely manner.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited school of EEG Technology
- 2-3 years of related experience
- American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists certified or certification eligible is preferred
- Ability to perform studies on all age groups
