School-based Therapeutic Program Counselor – Children & Families First – Wilmington, DE

  • Provide group and individual counseling /therapy services in school-based and community-based settings implementing the Cognitive Behavioral Intervention evidence-based model.
  • Conduct school-based life skill groups to school age students.
  • Provide educational consultation to school professionals as needed.
  • Conduct parent educational sessions to parents, guardians and family members, as needed.
  • Provide assessment, planning, counseling/therapy, referrals, advocacy, and collateral contacts.
  • Prepare and maintain timely documentation and records in accordance with agency, state accreditation, and other requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Travel required to the assigned schools within the Christina School District to conduct sessions.
  • Part-time/hourly, up to 15 hours per week. This position works just during the school year, over 9 months.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related discipline required. License eligibility is required. Current license is desired.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, and a strong working knowledge of computers and applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills, required.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of computers and applications.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier and reliable transportation.
