Counselor Supervisor $35 hourly/$70,000 yearly
STATUS: Full-Time, Part time
HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: Master’s degree in social work or counseling or Ph.D in Psychology.
- Required: Missouri state licensure (LPC, LCSW, Psychologist) (Must be fully licensed). No provisional.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling in a school setting.
- Prefer a minimum of one year of experience as an administrator in the field of special education, mental health, or counseling, serving children.
- Strong understanding and execution of CBT and behavior principles.
- Knowledgeable in the field of learning disabilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer literate, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent high-level problem-solving skills.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees all day-to-day aspects of the counseling program.
- Receives and coordinates all counseling referrals and assigns caseloads to clinicians.
- Ensures all clinicians maintain the integrity services.
- Provides monthly clinical supervision for all clinicians.
- Hires, disciplines, and provides coaching to all subordinates.
- Ensures that the department’s financial goals are met in accordance with the budget.
- Approves expenditures.
- Maintains a reduced counseling caseload, providing direct mental health services to all clients if needed. Including picking up clients to see one on one.
- Coordinates all daily aspects of counseling program to ensure compliance with accreditation, contracts, and quality assurance.
- Provides direct supervision to multiple staff.
- Provides initial and specialty initial training to counselors when needed other staff during on boarding.
- Coordinates emergency placements with other disciplines due to staff illness, quitting, etc.
- Maintains the integrity of client files through review of notes and treatment goals.
- Attends professional meetings as needed with staff or board members.
- Participates in marketing efforts through Code 1 Wellness fundraising efforts, breakfasts, open houses, fairs, end of year visits, and other marketing endeavors.
- Maintains data and reports for grants and contracts and program evaluation.
- Submits departmental payroll twice monthly and audits files for accuracy.
- May oversee and help with paraprofessionals who support students with behavioral challenges.
- Other duties as defined by the supervisor.
- Acts as a liaison with other schools and groups.
