Occupational Therapist H – RCA Servicer at Westfield LLC – Westfield, NY

Responsibilities

  • Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
  • Participate in family care plan meetings and educate caregivers and family members of clients on patient care
  • Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health and evaluate results and progress of occupational therapy on patients.
  • Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding patient.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with geriatric residents
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A bachelor degree in occupational therapy from a university certified by the ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education) or AOTA (American -Occupational Therapy Association).
  • Current OT license in NYS required
  • Must have knowledge, skills, and techniques of age specific developmental factors and be able to evaluate patients
  • Must have up-to-date knowledge for treatment practices and physical therapy programs
  • Experience in long term care preferred
  • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
  • Strong customer service skills and compassion
