Medical Assistant (Non-Certified) – Foot and Ankle – Phoenix, AZ

Medical Assistant, no certification needed.

Looking for someone with a positive attitude, willing and ready to assist a solo practitioner with her patient load during the day. Duties include: helping patients with intake forms, setting up instrument trays, taking x-ray, getting patients ready/prepped for procedures, charting History of Present Illness, confirming medications/allergies, reconciling medicines, ROS, making sure prescriptions and handouts are dispensed/reviewed with patients, organizing and stocking inventory, and x-ray image transfer.

Your role will be helping make clinic flow easier and more efficient for the doctor AND patient. If that means jumping in to help the receptionist answer phones, you’ll be expected to do it. If that means verifying benefits or looking up something to help streamline patient care–you’ll be expected to help. We are a small practice, and consider each other like family–including our patients, so we take care of each other. We are starting at 20-25 hours per week, there is potential for full time in this position in the future.

If you want to work hard and help patients feel better by creating a unique experience for them at our office–we are excited to interview you! Must be comfortable using the iPad, medical charting (preferrable Athena), open to some receptionist duties if needed, and come with a good attitude. Everything else, we can help train you. You must have your own reliable transportation. You will not be micro-managed and we are flexible with our employees. However we expect you to be reliable, on time, and have your duties completed by end of day without exceptions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 – $18.00 per hour
