The region’s leading network of healthcare providers, Inspira Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team for the night shift. You will support the needs of various departments while adhering to our Mission and Values. We will rely on you to:
- Perform testing and quality control procedures in either a specialized department(s), or as a generalist
- Operate instrumentation, prepare reagents and report results according to established policies and procedures
- Perform all testing under the supervision of a Laboratory Department Supervisor, Laboratory Manager or Lead Technologist
- Communicate with nursing/physicians regarding patient results and assist in various projects as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 50 week military training as Medical Lab Specialist OR Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory training program
- Associate of Science in Laboratory Science preferred
- 1 to 3 years clinical laboratory experience preferred
- ASCP or equivalent certification, or eligibility, required. Note: Certification must be achieved within 9 months after hire date
