Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – DHB Therapy – Riverview, FL

DHB Therapy is seeking an experienced, reliable, self-motivated, passionate, knowledgable bilingual (Fluent in Spanish) SLPA to help us grow our pediatric speech therapy team. We are a pediatric facility located in Riverview, FL. Serving families in the Riverview, Valrico, Lithia, Tampa, Brandon, and Wimauma area.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include treating patients per plan of care and per established policies and procedures, ensuring effective application of speech and language treatment, parent interactions, documentation, and management of personal scheduling. CURRENT/ACTIVE DOH state license/SLPA certification required. Established caseload with opportunity to add more hours. Pay is per billable hour.

Essential Primary Duties for SLPA:

· Implement treatment plans or protocols as directed by speech-language pathologists.

Assist speech-language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills.

· Appropriately respond to parent questions or direct them to supervising therapist

· Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits in a timely manner.

· Maintain communication with staff regarding patient updates/progress.

· Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, conforming to HIPPA privacy regulations.

Prerequisite Skills:

· Familiarity with a variety of speech and cognitive disorders.

· Good written communication and documentation skills.

· Experience with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with a team (Speech and OT).

· Basic computer literacy.

· Ability to comply with all regulatory standards.

· Fast learner

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 per hour

  • Riverview, FL 33569: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
