Summary
- Greets and rooms patients including taking vitals such as: height, weight, temp, pulse, respiratory rate, and/or pulse oximetry.
- Completes intake of patients in the room including reviewing Medical history, Allergies, Medication lists and chief complaint.
- Conducts call backs as directed by providers including getting lab results, prescription refills, tickler files, re-scheduling and general messages.
- Performs DOT, Pre-employment, and other physicals.
- Performs Drug screens, Hair collections, and Breath Alcohol tests.
- Performs Audiograms
- Responsible for injections, phlebotomy, setting up and assisting with procedures, and EKGs.
- Opens, closes, cleans, and stocks exam rooms.
- Responsible for autoclaving instruments.
- Answers phones, checks in and checks out patients, and processes referrals when needed.
- Schedules appointments.
- Performs any other duties that assist in the operations of the office.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved course of Medical Assistant study.
- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant in the State of Colorado.
- Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification, or obtain certification within one month of employment.
· Possess Drug Screen Collector Certification, or obtain certification within one month of employment.
- Possess Breath Alcohol Technician certification, or obtain certification within one month of employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· One year of experience in Occupational Medicine.
