The Niagara County Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician for our Niagara Falls Integrated Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder outpatient treatment program, serving adolescents and adults.
This position is responsible for a range of clinical services, including conducting screening/comprehensive assessment; intake and diagnostic impressions; mental health and related substance use disorder treatment, including individual, family and group therapy; crisis intervention and safety planning; coordination of care and linkage/referral; and case record documentation. Licensed clinicians collaborate with other professionals with the agency (nurses, case managers, peers specialists) and across other agencies, including probation, treatment courts, community-based social supports, and medical providers. Position participates in the agency Mobile Crisis team, requiring occasional after-hours coverage. Typical work hours are Monday 11 – 7pm, Tuesday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30pm.

Minimum Qualifications: Possession of one of the following: current New York State License as a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), or a Licensed Psychoanalyst; OR Possession of a current New York State Registered Nurse license and two (2) years of supervised nursing experience in a mental health/substance use disorder program. Provisional licensure, such as MSW, eligible to take exam and/or LMHC-P may be considered.
