Medical Billing Specialist – Vitality Medical Center – Tustin, CA

Multidisciplinary Medical Center offers comprehensive health services to patients in Orange County. Our health care professionals, medical directors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and Chiropractors have expertise in treating adults, children and adolescents, seniors, and those with work injuries, auto accident injuries, and people in need of physical therapy and pain management as well as aesthetic services. Our clinical team takes a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to care. We offer a range of services, including individualized therapy, pain management, physical therapy & exercise, chiropractic adjustments, and aesthetic services in-network with most insurance carriers.

We are looking to add an experienced medical biller to join our highly skilled staff. This position requires knowledge and experience with complete revenue cycle billing, including but not limited to the following:

  • Insurance Verification
  • Electronic claim submission
  • Authorization
  • Posting of insurance and patient payments
  • Process payments
  • Claim correction
  • Aged billing
  • Insurance follow-up and appeals
  • Collection calls
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable
  • Compile patient statements
  • Review and update demographics and patient information for accuracy
  • Manage front desk and back office as needed

All qualified candidates must have the following required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of billing/authorization/eligibility experience in a health care organization.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of billing practices.
  • Knowledge of health insurance policies.
  • Ability to examine and enter billing/demographic information completely and accurately
  • Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations
  • Ability to answer questions effectively for patients, staff, and physicians both in person and over the phone
  • Ability to perform all tasks accurately, thoroughly, and timely
  • Experience with Chirotouch EHR practice management systems is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour
