Qualifications
- EMT, RN, or LPN with current North carolina license (Current NREMT, NCBON)
- Must possess excellent IV peripheral line placement skills
- Understand policies and procedures that apply to administering IV therapy
- Comfortable working with patients
- Current BCLS certification or will be current upon start date
- Must be flexible and adaptable working with others as well as customers
- Able to work independently, possess excellent time management, communication and problem solving skills
- Warm, friendly, and confident demeanor
- Willingness to work only when clients have booked appointments as we build clientele
- If part time, please provide the days and times available
- Provide day(s) for availability Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities include gathering and recording vital signs, placing and removing peripheral IV for patients receiving infusion therapy
- Ability to assist patients with differing needs and stages of health
- Willing to learn and understand the uses for certain vitamins and supplements that may be administered via IV as well as learn contraindications to certain supplements
- Willing to describe the vitamins and supplements that we offer through IV or IM administration
- Prepare IV & IM vitamins for administration with appropriate technique
- Monitor client before, during and after peripheral IV administration
- Maintain supply inventory by checking stock daily, anticipating the needs of supplies, and assisting with ordering supplies when needed
- Maintain a clean room and workspace at all times
- Ability to document therapies via EHR cloud software
- Willingness to consult with our Wellness Director and Medical Director when necessary
- Ability to build rapport with patients and the healthcare team
- Follow up with patients as needed
- Willingness to provide IV infusions offsite for events, gyms, groups etc. Currently not offering home infusions
Full Description
Avant Wellness PLLC is located within the Avant Pharmacy & Wellness location on Monroe Rd. and Sardis Rd. in Charlotte. NC. Avant Wellness is seeking part time infusion LPNs, RNs, or EMTs (initially working only when clients have booked) experienced in IV peripheral administration. The infusion LPN, RN, or EMT will provide IV therapies or IM injections under the supervision of the Medical Director and overseen by the Wellness Director. IVs will primarily be administered in our IV suite, but there may be opportunities to administer offsite at events, gyms, or groups. Currently we are not offering home infusions.
Currently, we are open from Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, but may have additional opportunities for available shifts in the near future. Currency seeking those available 1 day or more per week to assist patients that have booked a service. Because our IV suite is new, initial bookings may be slow until we build more clientele. If no bookings are scheduled for the day, the IV clinic will not require assistance. Initially, this will be determined by 5pm the night before your available shift.
Personal protective equipment will be provided as well as sanitation protocols and cleaning procedures for use before and after IV administration. Customer service and sales are required to provide our patients with the best experience and thorough information about the services that are offered. Rate varies based on experience and qualifications.
