Brightways Counseling Group is a leader in providing whole-person, integrated care to several communities across Oregon. As part of our commitment to providing care where and when it is needed, we are looking for an experienced licensed mental health therapist to join Brightways in serving the Woodburn community as a clinician. The right candidate will have the skills and ability to provide exceptional clinical care in serving the bilingual, multicultural needs of the local community. We are committed to advancing equity and providing culturally appropriate care, and the right clinician will have a deep understanding of what is needed to serve this community.

As an organization, we have a diverse group of clinicians with varied backgrounds, experience and licenses which include: PMHNP, Ph.D., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, CSWA, LMFT interns and LPC interns. Our highest priority is our organizational culture. We hire the right people first. We are looking for teachable clinicians who will always see their profession as a growing experience. We utilize FIT (Feedback Informed Treatment) to provide trauma informed care along with other evidenced based practices.

Our focus on an integrated care model has set a new standard with our clients receiving whole person care as we partner with primary care. Our clinicians must be willing to think of their work in the context of a larger multidisciplinary team which includes: PCP, RN, BHC, PMHNP, Integrated Care Supervisors and licensed therapists.

Internally we have created a trauma-informed organization where employees working for Brightways and clients seeking services are valued in ways that are meaningful to both. This is a primary reason our clinicians love their jobs. Several have reported that this is the best job they have ever had. Others have reported they are making more money now than ever before. This includes several folks previously in private practice.

Our treatment model is setting new standards, and as a result we have been asked to partner with many community organizations such as Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership, The Health Counsel: Advancing Integrated Care workgroup and COHC: Increase Access and Coordination workgroup. Our focus is on whole person care through integrated partnership with primary care. We want every person on both sides of everyone’s desk to find what makes them great and achieve it.

We are client centered, but not at the cost of our clinician’s well being. We are progressive and well trained. We use EMDR, PCIT and other evidenced based practices in person and more recently telehealth. Those who are certified in PCIT and EMDR are financially rewarded. There is plenty of opportunity for growth and professional development.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Use evidenced based interventions including psycho-social assessment and diagnosis for clients experiencing a diagnosable disorder from the DSM-V and is medically necessary to receive treatment.
  • Establish a therapeutic relationship with clients seeking outpatient behavioral health services to help facilitate client focused change and resolution of client identified issues.
  • Practice in compliance with the State of Oregon Board of Licensed Clinical Social Workers and/or Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists Code of Ethics.
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy standards and regulations.
  • Complete a treatment plan that is individualized and measurable.
  • Provide documentation of all services provided in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Support the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects.
  • Provide and maintain a safe environment for co-workers and clients.
  • Conduct yourself with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Support Brightway’s efforts to create and maintain a trauma informed care culture and utilize non-violent communication when navigating disagreements and conflict. Act in an ethical and appropriate manner and cooperating fully with all organizational efforts to increase the well being of our clients and work environment.
