AAI is a friendly group of people who take our engagement with each other and the community members we collaborate with very seriously. If you are a person who appreciates a team approach, has high expectations for yourself, and you appreciate the work it takes to be a successful team player, then this may be your place to work!

Comments from our team members:

“I love that we ARE actually a family. No matter what position you hold at AAI, you are heard and valued. I also love that you can have a work/life balance at AAI!”

“I absolutely love the collaborative nature of AAI! I also love how everyone’s value to the company is consistently recognized and celebrated : )”

“I love that growth and change is welcomed, but not at the expense of our core values as an agency! I love that everyone’s input, from all position levels, is valued, considered, and a huge part of the decision making as an agency. I love that there is flexibility and that our mental health is prioritized in order to be the best clinicians (and humans) possible! I appreciate that the work culture promotes a drama free environment and that egos are left at the door (or at the sign in screen, if you will), which is hard to find within this field! I LOVE that I get to disseminate our science to rural communities and that I get to do this with THE MOST incredible team with me.

The camaraderie we have as a team is unlike anything I have ever experienced at any other agency. Saying I am blessed to work here is an understatement! I can go on and on, but I want to hit these as my main points. AAI is truly da best!”

“I love that AAI fosters creativity and individuality in all of our treatment plans, and we are constantly growing and evolving to be better. Most companies prefer you produce identical copies for every treatment plan for ease of implementation. I have never once felt too stressed out to come to work at AAI. AAI’s community and overall atmosphere is so welcoming and not only client oriented but actually employee oriented. That is so rare to find! I LOVE AAI!!!”

“AAI is unlike any other organization out there (especially in this field). There are so many specific factors that set AAI apart: dense levels of support, open communication, frequent access to reinforcement from one another, eagerness to learn, honest-to-God appreciation and value for what each team member brings to the table. Moreover, there’s really just an ‘it’ factor that the founder has manifested here; a way it FEELS to come to work; a way we can be in a meeting and just BE; a way we KNOW we are being heard and TRUST that this organization is as motivated as we are to be happy, successful, and well, in both work and life.”

“One thing I love about AAI is that this organization takes into consideration everyone’s strengths and areas of support needs for each person, and it feels like we genuinely have a giant support group to help out when needed!”

“Definitely the work/life balance piece is HUGE! When I was interviewing it was something extremely important to me coming from previous organizations where I literally ended up having health issues because I was sooo overworked and stressed with no real choice to say no. Here every decision is made with the clinician’s caseload in mind, and I am never told I am getting a new case, I am asked first if I am okay with that! Little thing, but it makes such a large difference in the level of respect we are shown here at AAI : )”

“I really like that AAI uses data not only in treatment, but to inform ongoing decision making – It would be out of the ordinary for a massive policy change to be implemented without data and rationale shared to back it up. I also really like that AAI treats the RBTs as equals on the team who have a high value opinion, I have worked too many places where the direct support role was undervalued and treated poorly, here the RBTs are just as much a part of the ‘family’ as the program sups and directors.”

“I love the value of a work/life balance, for all team members across the board! I super appreciate the dynamic that is encouraged and expected between team members based on professional intimacy. Far too many organizations never quite learn the importance of soft skills, active listening, and being accountable for your actions, and I really have always loved that AAI expects that these skills be practiced when working with others.”

“I deeply appreciate the genuine care for the individual! I feel like some companies fake it ’til they make it in this area, and AAI does not do that! The respect and appreciation are totally there, and real.”

“Egos are left at the door. This is incredibly rare in our field and a value that I appreciate beyond words. I know when we collaborate with parents and collaborative teams, they feel this as well and I KNOW it results in greater success working as collaborative teams. I love this about AAI. Truly collaborating with our BT’s is another aspect of AAI that sets us apart as an organization. I have become a better clinician and supervisor due to our open-door communication with all staff.”

“The support and collaboration I receive at AAI is something I’ll never take for granted.
Recognizing that we all have room to grow and learn and nurturing this is just the coolest thing ever.”
