Role Summary:

Responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for various patients within the facility. Reports directly to the Clinical Director of the unit. This position works in conjunction with other members of nursing service, ancillary services, physicians, patients, and families. It collaborates with various members of the healthcare team to ensure quality of care across the continuum. Requires the ability to be self-directed and quality focused. Interpersonal communication skills are a necessary function of this position.

Department Summary:

The Vanderbilt Wilson County Inpatient Rehabilitation Services at McFarland campus provides comprehensive 24-hour care to help people enhance their quality of life and achieve optimal independence. Our inpatient rehabilitation team works together to create a personalized care plan based on the patient’s individual needs. The team’s primary objective is to assist patients in recovering and regaining independence and functionality following an injury, disability, or illness. This position requires 12-hour shifts, every other weekend schedule, and holiday rotation.

Position Shift:

  • PRN 7pm-7am
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Holiday rotation required

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience) and 1 year relevant experience

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):

  • Registered Nurse Required

Physical Requirements/Strengths needed & Physical Demands:

  • Heavy Work category requiring exertion of 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 10 to 20 lbs. of force continually to move objects.
