Monday through Friday position working with a supportive nursing team who oversees the care of Maryhaven’s individuals in our residences and day programs.

Job Summary:
Provides nursing services, which include distribution of medication, emergency triage, first aid and follow up if needed. Provides resident/staff health education, and acts as liaison with primary care providers and doctor as needed. All within accordance of regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions:
Distributes medication to appropriate residents, ensuring monthly supply of medication, and accurate physician orders, in conjunction with medical case workers and house management.
Maintains and updates medical records for all residents while maintaining confidentiality.
Provides first aid to staff and residents as needed.
Identifies and provides emergency medical care when on site, arranges for medical transportation, and ensures appropriate medical documentation to return to program, in conjunction with medical case workers and house management.
Files incident reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency policy.
Education and Qualifications:
Current NYS R.N. License.
1-2 years nursing experience preferred.
1-2 years experience with ID/DD population preferred.
Valid NYS Driver’s License within agency criteria.

Pay: $33.00 – $44.00 per hour
