Description: Accurately enters claims into client software for submission to insurance for proper processing and payment. Claim submission, claim tracking, payment posting, and denial resolution are some of the duties included in this position.
A qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of insurance processes, CPT and ICD10 codes, and multiple computer application uses. Will also need to have strong organizational skills, multi-task and be able to effectively manage and prioritize tasks. Must be very detail oriented, while still able to work effectively and efficiently.
Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Insurance Billing and Coding. Dermatology and Surgical billing a plus. A professional certification would meet this qualification.
Strong knowledge of Insurance claims processing and claims resolution.
Must have a comprehensive understanding of surgical modifiers and their proper use.
Strong customer service skills.
Must be able to read medical records.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Medical software applications.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
