Wraparound Facilitator-MYPAC – Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources – Laurel, MS

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has an immediate opening for a Wraparound Facilitator on the MYPAC program to work with children and adolescents. The Wraparound Facilitor position is located in Laurel, MS but will provide services in the Pine Belt area. On-call duties required. Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.

MYPAC (Mississippi Youth Programs Around the Clock) addresses the unique needs of those who could benefit from a more personalized service. MYPAC staff partner with families, youth, and community resources allowing families the most successful outcome possible within their home and community setting. This program provides an alternative to traditional psychiatric residential treatment.

For 40 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt. Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our thirteen county service area includes Forrest, Jones, Lamar, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Perry, Wayne, Pearl River, Harrison, Hancock and Stone Counties.

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral healthcare required
  • Must possess a valid Mississippi Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
  • Reliable transportation needed for work in the community
  • Must have auto insurance with liability limits of 100,000/300,000/50,000 within 30 days of hire
  • Excellent communications skills in both written and verbal settings
  • Independent work ability and time management skills
  • Knowledge of or readiness to learn strength oriented wrap-around service model

The Wraparound Program is a strength-based, family focused service that has been designed to deliver intense social support for families that are at risk of being separated (e.g. children going to a higher level of care of being detained by social services). The Wraparound Services Team is composed of staff members that work together and leverage the family’s strengths in order to evaluate and implement solutions that assure the children’s safety and permanency in the home environment. Duties that the Wraparound Facilitator would complete are listed below:

  • Facilitates the team building and Wraparound meeting process with Youth & Families served to include formal and informal resources.
  • Provides 24/7 coverage for MYPAC participants as required by PBMHR policies and procedures.
  • Works with families to facilitate strengths-based plan of care that will be integrated with clinical care.
