Medical Pre-Authorization / Insurance Verification – Idaho Urologic Institute – Boise, ID

Well respected urology practice seeks a detail oriented, caring, and thoughtful individual to join our committed team of professionals. Our providers and staff strive to create a distinctive health care experience for each patient – one focused on respectful relationships, teamwork, integrity and customer service.

This role specializes in insurance verification and authorization for outpatient services and in-house pharmacy requests. Excellent communication skills are necessary to insure the delivery of a great experience and excellent patient care. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Communicates with the patient regarding the visit and/or procedure(s)

· Verifies the patient’s insurance eligibility and benefits

· Obtains prior authorization from the patient’s insurance carrier

· Determines the patient’s cost for the visit/procedure

· Provides information to the appropriate staff to insure the delivery of high quality, cost- effective health care services.

Prior medical billing experience or insurance experience required. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with a daily schedule of either 8 or 10 hours, depending on the employee’s preference. Once fully trained, a schedule of two weeks in the office and two weeks remote is available.
