We are looking for a qualified Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide daily assistance to patients receiving dialysis. We operate on a Mon, Wed & Fri only schedule, from 2:30am-3:00pm. We do not offer any benefits at this time. Previous experience a plus, but will train the right individual. You will help patients with their basic needs and collaborate with medical professionals to achieve excellent patient care. A Patient Care Technician is a committed and compassionate professional. They have great interpersonal skills and ability to create a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse etc.) & report to nurse
- Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments
- Ensure rooms have adequate patient care supplies
- Assist patients with particular issues or needs
- Provide appropriate emotional support
Skills
- Proven experience as patient care technician
- Trained in vital signs measurement
- Excellent knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures
- Working knowledge of relevant equipment (catheters, needles etc.)
- Committed to health and safety standards
- Empathetic and approachable
- CPR certified
