Patient Care Assistant – Monroe Vision Clinic – Monroe, WA

Monroe Vision Clinic is searching for an upbeat and friendly individual to fill our optometric technician position! An ideal candidate would be a kind and compassionate individual with the motivation to serve and exceed the expectations of our patients. Successful candidates will be able to:

• Greet, escort, and conduct diagnostic testing on patients (measure and record eye function and vision)
• Listen to and comfort patients
• Have a friendly and upbeat demeanor
• Explaining care and purchasing of contact lenses
• Ability to transfer accurate information in an efficient fashion between patients and doctors
• Perform standard office practices (e-mailing, faxing, scanning, mailing and etc.)
• Ability to focus on tasks with multiple interruptions
• Work well alone and as a team
• Preparing examination rooms as well as proper cleaning after a patient leaves

This job has much room for growth to assist with other tasks such as:

• Answering phone calls and routing on a multi-line system
• Triage patients
• Schedule appointments
• Process and explain contacts
• Order and dispense contacts
• Conduct contact lens training for new wearers
• Ordering office materials and equipment

Requirements:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent

Compensation: DOE
Hours/Week: 32-40
