Home Health Administrator – Choice Homecare – Dallas-Fort Worth, TX

Job Responsibilities:

The Choice Home Health Administrator assumes overall responsibility and authority for administrative and leadership functions, supervision of the organizational plan and responsibility for ongoing communication with the VP of Clinical Operations as well as Agency Staff.

Reporting Responsibilities: Reports to the VP of Clinical Operations. Supervises all management staff.

Job Qualifications

  • Supervise all clinical activities and staff. Communicates and interacts with the Director of Clinical Services on a daily basis.
  • Assures adequate supply of qualified staff. Assist with recruiting, hiring, and orienting all branch clinical staff.
  • Works with the education staff in providing in-service programs to all staff. Provides adequate opportunity for education and ensures that all staff meet in-service requirements.
  • Directs all client care conferences.
  • Coordinates and manages the agency daily work load. Ensure appropriate assignments of referrals for all services.
  • Ensures that the documentation required for reimbursement of care is completed on a timely basis and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Performs duties necessary to maintain quality standards.
  • Conducts employee performance evaluations. Assists with development of new job standards as needed. Reviews and updates current job standards annually.
  • Counsels staff appropriately and in a timely fashion concerning areas of deficiency as well as areas of excellence.
  • Consistently facilitates positive interpersonal relations among staff
  • Works with other agencies and promotes good community relations through involvement in community events.
  • Keeps abreast of management issues.
  • Assures service satisfaction through client visits and other measures, as appropriate. Investigates and resolves all branch complaints.

Education:

  • Be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas ( or within compact license guidelines.) BSN Preferred.
  • . Must comply with required training for Administration of Agencies as described in Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 558.259 & 558.260.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting, such as a hospital, nursing facility, hospice, outpatient rehabilitation center, psychiatric facility; intermediate care facility for persons with general learning disabilities, or related conditions, or a licensed health care delivery setting for providing services for individuals with functional disabilities.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas ( or within compact license guidelines.) BSN Preferred.
  • Current driver’s license in good standing. It is the responsibility of the employee to renew their driver’s license before it expires in order to continue employment.
