CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST – Bacteriology – The Brooklyn Hospital Center – Brooklyn, NY

Full-Time, Midnight-8am|Monday-Friday + Alternating Weekends + Holidays

What you’ll be doing:

With minimum supervision, you’ll use your analytical skills to conduct moderate to high complexity testing on clinical specimens in the hospital microbiology laboratory, including but not limited to bacteria, viruses, antigen, molecular assays, antibiotic sensitivity, and infectious disease screening. You’ll also perform QC on all tests, follow-up on out-of-range results and document patient results utilizing the LIS.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or one of the physical sciences – Biology, Chemistry
  • Preferably possess 2+ years’ clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or high-level research setting; however, we will train the right person, and new graduates are welcome
  • Have a current NYS Licensed Laboratory Technologist; ASCP (MT or MLS) and knowledge of LIS

preferred

  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with computer
